Spring delight: duck egg blue and white

Duck egg blue Japanese tea blouse worn with Boden Alexa pencil skirt
A beautiful spring day called for the delicate and fresh colour of duck egg blue with white accents. The silky Japanese tea blouse could even be described as cold shoulder, depending on how you position the floaty sleeves! The longer length is ideal for camouflaging a muffin top / stomach. It was apt to take a picture next to my cherry tree with its blossom.
I saw the top in a blog, listed as a sale bargain recently. I was thrilled to snap it up from Asos.

The skirt is the Alexa pencil skirt by Boden, which also comes in rose hip (red). I love Boden's pencil skirts - this one is a little more formal perhaps but mostly they can be dressed up or down and they fit and hang very well.

The white wedges with perspex heels are last season's from M&S, as is the white daisy necklace.
I actually took these photos twice: the first batch were ditched when I realised my attempts at moving the recycling bin around the garden had failed and it was very prominent in a couple of the images!

  3. This is such a feminine look, without being overly pretty, pretty if you get what I mean Gail. A floaty sleeve can be just enough to conceal the dreaded bingo wings too. I've succumbed to quite a few of these Boden skirts as they work so well, and always fit to the size they say.
