& #TuesdayTwirl
Dear friends. As we move closer to Autumn/Fall, my choice of colours starts to change. This summer I favoured yellow, pink and blues. Now I'm leaning towards purple, but brightened up with a splash of yellow.
This was my outfit for a lovely fair, Wanstead Vintage, at the weekend. A pretty church was filled with stalls selling retro clothes, jewellery, furniture, glassware and vinyl.
I'm wearing a couple of "vintage" items. A Givenchy bag, bought from a Plymouth charity shop, and another Boden skirt, preloved from eBay. Shoes are from Jones Bootmaker, necklace from Etsy, Canary top and short tie wrap from Kettlewell.
Purple is the colour that attracts the most compliments when I wear it in winter, typically in a total purple look with a colourful scarf. It's not one of my "wow" colours but if I wear it with colours that are, it's fine.
My colours don't change much in autumn/winter. I still wear my seasonally- analysed spring colours and enjoy looking bright when everyone else seems to be wearing black, navy and khaki.
So did I buy anything at the vintage fair? A 1950s necklace in a vivid blue. The next Wanstead Vintage is in time for Christmas, and last year had some retro fairy lights and baubles.
Do you change your colours for autumn/fall? Do tell in the comments.
