GIFTED COLLABORATION
Dear friends. I don't often do collaborations with brands but when I was contacted by Belfast based Lighthouse Clothing and looked at their site, I couldn't resist. I would buy their pieces in a heart beat.
Lighthouse is a family-focused British brand with a love for practical, stylish layering.
I chose three garments from the new autumn/winter collection and I was absolutely blown away by the quality.
In the top pic I'm wearing the Haven jersey in Coconut Deep Coral with the Savannah coat in Cocoa. In cotton-rich brushed jersey (83% Cotton/17% Polyester) the Haven is an all year rounder that can take you from walks to pub drinks and can be layered up throughout autumn and winter.
I love the popper funnel neck which provides extra warmth and style details. Haven is available in eight colours. As I love warm bright colours, I chose a coral shade. I'm wearing it with straight leg white jeans (M&S) and gold ankle boots.
I'm wearing a size 10 UK in all the pieces.
This coat! It's fabulous!
When winter starts to bite, the Savannah coat would be the pièce de résistance.
There are so many clever details. There's an inner pocket with a zip and two front pockets. It has 450g of recycled wadding in padding, so it's definitely cosy as well as environmentally friendly. It's also ideal for rainy days. The outer has been been treated with a fluorocarbon-free finish to offer added protection on damp days.
Brown shades are very "in" this autumn, and both the jerseys I chose look fabulous with the coat. It's also available in Black, Brushwood, Irish Cream, Navy, Olive and Pine.
My third pick, the Coral Jersey, is great on its own in the warm October weather we're having. It's a funnel-necked half-zip jersey. I chose the Rust/cream stripe colourway but it's also also available in five other colours, some plain, some striped.
Here I'm wearing the Coral jersey with my Hush barrel jeans in brown. The jersey is made of a cotton blend and perfect for layering. Right now I'd wear it on its own for walks in Epping Forest nearby, and as it gets cooler, I'd add a top underneath, followed by the Savannah coat.
Have you noticed the trend for brown shades in the shops and online? Is it one for you? Do tell in the comments.
