And Tuesday Twirl
Dear friends. I was not a Versace fan back in the day. I thought his designs were a bit gaudy. But after seeing the wonderful Retrospective in London, I've changed my mind.
There are lots of bright colours, yes (and many of them in my Spring colours), but also some sublime tailoring and quite subdued outfits you could wear to the office. Princess Diana was a fan, as was Elton John and of course Elizabeth Hurley.
I was meeting a group of colourful friends and chose to unveil my new-to-me purple and yellow patterned trousers.
I bought them on Ebay with fairly low expectations. They were described as designer but there's no label, except one saying "made in Italy."
Ladies, there's no reason why we can't wear patterned pants / trousers over 50.
Not all pairs of trousers suit me, my thighs can look quite big in some. But these pants are very flattering. They're pull on and make my legs look longer. Result!
I wore them with a yellow sweater, statement necklace (Etsy), purple boots (Amazon) and purple trench shown here.

The hubs doesn't like the trousers very much. He likened them to the upholstery of the newest underground line, The Elizabeth Line.
Here a few pics from the exhibition, which is in The Arches close to London Bridge Station. There's a large room showing a video of all his collections on the catwalk, and it was great to see the super models strutting their stuff. Highly recommended. The one piece I'd love to take home is the yellow coat dating from the 90s.
How do you feel about patterned trousers/ pants? Do tell in the comments.

Suzy Turner's witch outfit quite rightly attracted attention!
Rena at Fine Whatever shared a few "unpopular opinions" about style. I agree with neatly all of them (although I do enjoy tying a shirt at the waist....)
