Summer Hits and Misses

Dear friends. Sharing today what I've been wearing on repeat, including the most flattering dress ever. And two surprise "misses", the dresses I will move on.

The Most Flattering Dress Ever

Looking at it on the rail, the simple Isla dress from Kettlewell (4 colourways) doesn't immediately set the heart racing. But it seems to be flattering on everyone. It skims the curves without clinging. Just perfect.

Versatile Cream Denim Skirt

I haven't worn my blue denim skirt once this summer, but I'm constantly reaching for this cream Darla denim skirt. I'm wearing it here with an apricot boat neck tee and peaches necklace from Selenichast.

Sleeveless Tops

Thanks to "Project Arms," I've been happily wearing mostly sleeveless tops. They're great paired with colourful, or white, shorts. Below: Stella tee from Kettlewell, cap Ralph Lauren, shorts (old) Roman.

WEARING MY STRIPES

My striped Bretons get a lot of wear in summer. In fact they're staples all year round. In colder weather I add a wrap or moto jacket. Below: shorts, old, M&S; Breton tee, old, Kettlewell.

The Ones I'm Not Wearing

You'll be surprised to know that the new dress I bought has only had one outing. I may sell it on ebay. I don't think it's me. It's too patterned, and I don't like the puff sleeves.

The other No is the blue linen dress from last year (Boden), which still hasn't seen the light of day. I just don't like the shape of it on me. I think it's too short, ladies.

The Iconic Graphic Tee

Last up is a simple black tee with Bowie logo (eBay) which I've had for a few years. It's very cool and always gets compliments!
