And #TuesdayTwirl
Dear friends. Yellow was all the rage in summer but it's less common now, both in the shops and in the wild.
It's such a cheerful colour, perfect for the dark and gloomy days of Winter.
Flattering colours make us glow, cheer up those around us, and make sure we can never be invisible. So hooray to wearing bright colours over 60 in winter!
I love yellow with pink, and layered up a short sleeved sweater with a dotty blouse and a sleeveless long cardigan (all Kettlewell). The jeans are new, from Danish firm Perfect Jeans. Their jeans not only come in several colours, including mint, yellow and lavender as well as traditional colours, but they're in several different lengths. They're very soft and comfortable, unlike many jeans. Mine are size small, length 30. Lipstick is a warm pink, Spring Bling by Avon.
Next up is a yellow tee with a flamingo pink wrap (both Kettlewell). Brogues, old, by Joe Brown's. A tan cheetah belt keeps it modern looking.
Red also goes surprisingly well with yellow and makes it more festive at this time of year. The jacket is preloved, a red coral Rachel in faux suede from Kettlewell. Trainers from Gola.
