And #TuesdayTwirl
Dear friends. I hope you had a joyful Easter, if it's something you celebrate. It was just the hubs and me on Easter Sunday, as both children and their kids had gone away. We had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant which was very busy and full of Spring delight.
I was inspired by Spring primroses to wear lime and yellow. It was undecided, weather wise: sunny intervals but quite windy and a few occasional showers.
Everything is old, from my wardrobe. Yellow chinos and lime jumper, M&S; trainers Gola at Oliver Bonas; scarf Scarf Giraffe and bag Pom Pom London. I wore my short green coat over the top.
It's great to wear my Spring colours in Spring! Outside the Royal Forest, Epping Forest, which was renovated just over a year ago by Heartwood Inns. It has a huge bar and restaurant area plus rooms, and is dog and walker friendly. I tucked into a cheese souffle followed by loin of pork and a pudding called coffee delice.
Regular readers will spot the difference to the garden. No more rotting decking or ghastly crazy paving. We've had a 2 week renovation. I'll be sharing more on this in a few weeks.
Right now I have a lot of planting to do. It's exciting, and a little daunting, to have three flower beds to plant up.
Yesterday we set about sprucing up the teak garden furniture. J sanded it down and I buffed it up with oil. Hard work.
What were your colours at Easter, or the weekend if Easter is irrelevant? What garden jobs do you dread most? Do tell in the comments.
