High Octane Glamour at the Vionic AW Runway Show in London

Innovative shoe brand Vionic first ran a runway show to show off the new season's styles a year ago, and since then the event has got bigger and bigger. This year it moved to BAFTA in London and the champagne was flowing. It was great to see blogger friends Jacqui from Mummabstylish and Michelle from Fifty and Fab and to meet up with some new faces.
Jacqui and I were both feeling a bit under dressed when we saw the other women in their fabulous frocks, fluttering like exotic birds. I wore my pewter Vionic Kaitlyn wedges which are truly one of the most comfortable (yet stylish) pairs of shoes I've ever worn.

The Vionic collection for autumn and winter is all about sumptuous textures and flashes of design brilliance. Look at these black court shoes with their leopard print heels. And the Mary Janes with the embellished strap.

I love ankle boots so was instantly smitten by these:

The biggest applause came for these long boots:

There was also plenty of athleisure with the trend of sportswear styled shoes continuing.
There were high heels too, like these Blaire shoes which come in several different colours.

After the runway show we got the chance to look at the shoes and mingle, which was fun. Vionic celebrity supporter Dr Ranj who competed in Strictly Come Dancing was in great demand for selfies. I was more interested in a selfie with Jacqui  (no offence Dr Ranj).

As we left we couldn't resist posing with the BAFTA symbol which represents the statuettes presented at the BAFTA awards.
