At Last - Purple Trousers I Love

Dear friends. Do you long for a particular garment in a favourite colour, but are always disappointed by what you find?

My bête noires are denim skirts and purple trousers. Denim skirts we will save for another day.

For three years running I've bought a pair of purple trousers. I found a pair on ebay which were Jigsaw brand, but like their successors, new from Hobbs, they were not a flattering fit.

I'm not one to give up. Last year I spotted a pair of patterned purple and yellow trousers on ebay, and they're perfect for summer.

The new collection from Kettlewell features ponte wide leg trousers in different lengths, no less, and I am THRILLED with my pair in Jewel Iris. They're the ideal length for me, at 5'3. In fact I've now ordered a pair in Poppy. They're in a high quality heavy ponte which hangs well, although it won't really be suitable for warm weather.

I'm wearing the trousers with a lavender Chloe jacket (Kettlewell, old), short sleeved jumper (St Tropez at John Lewis) and purple ankle boots, Amazon.

Outfit Inspiration

The Inspiration for today's outfit was a lovely necklace made for me by Karen Russell. She recently closed her online business My Season, which is sad because I loved the scarves and jewellery in seasonal colours. Karen offered to make me a necklace and I chose orange and shades of purple. It's a rare combination to find in jewellery.
