One jumper, three ways

Image showing a striking Rew scarf, the neckwear fastened with one button, in green
I was attracted to this Hobbs Sofia jumper by its green and navy colours, and the fact it can be worn quite casually or dressed up a bit.
I'm wearing it above with a new Rew. I've written about my love for Rew neckwear before, here. They're statement "scarves" but fastened with a button, so no need to struggle to tie them. My new Rew is a cosy fleecy material so will be great for the winter months. I've added blue jeans and ankle boots.

I don't normally wear "big" jumpers loose.  If you have big shoulders, an hourglass shape and chunky legs like me, it creates a boxy shape which makes you look huge. I prefer the tucked-in look (below), or even better, a belted silhouette, although I find it doesn't work with jeans - they're too bulky. My tucked-in look was for an evening out. I mixed textures: faux fur (bomber jacket), wool (the jumper), metallic (socks) and velvet (shoes).

My third look features a belt. This is a smarter look, and adding a faux fur trimmed bomber jacket makes it good to go for evening drinks, theatre or dinner. I bought the necklace some time ago on Etsy and I wear it all the time - it goes perfectly with my (many!) green jumpers. I teamed the jumper with my blue asymmetric skirt and block heeled shoes.

  1. Gorgeous jumper Gail, love that statement scarf, I've seen these before and I think they look fabulous. x hope it's been a great weekend. x Jacqui

  2. Hi Gail, I just love that bomber jacket - it's amazing. The two colours of the jumper are good together but best of all are those velvet shoes - ooof! Great look.

  3. Great looks, Gail! And that bomber jacket is the best! Thanks for linking up, xo

  4. Great jumper! But wow! Love your accessories too. The scarf is amazing but I'm super envious of the fur trimmed bomber jacket. You must get lots of great comments from that. The combo is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Sounds like you and I have the exact same body shape Gail so I understand your issues with big/loose sweaters. Having said that, I like all of your stylings here, most of all I love the belted version. And oh, how I adore that bomber jacket - it's beautiful!

    1. Thanks Anna - I love the bomber too because it has so much going on (brocade, faux fur)!

  6. I don't normally tuck my jumpers in but I'm going to try wearing this way Gail. I love the jacket pairing and your sparkly socks! I want those! xx

    1. The sparkly socks were a great buy from Sainsburys!

  7. Love your creative styling here, Gail, but what I like most of all is your vibrant green Rew scarf!!! It looks so great on you I decided to buy one for myself :) Never heard of this line before but I'll look forward to receiving it and attempting to style it as well as you did. Such a fun and unique scarf!

  8. That scarf! That bomber jacket! I am green with envy (see what I did there 😂). In all seriousness, great styling xx
