Favourite Florals

Sometimes all a girl needs for spring is a delicious floral skirt and matching wedges!
We all know that florals are hugely original for spring (Miranda Priestly, "The Devil Wears Prada") and even more so if the same florals have been appearing for simply years.
This floral skirt and top are probably three years old, and I still love them. I had to rescue the skirt last year - the lining was hanging down below the hem, so I had to shorten the lining - but they're both still good to go this summer.

I love the soft shades of pale green and peach, which look lovely with a tan.

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago before my hair restyle, and while the last tulips were still out.

I first saw the skirt and top in a magazine editorial and rushed to buy them, only to find they hadn't landed yet. So I made daily visits to the Laura Ashley website until I was able to buy both items - and they sold out very quickly. The skirt is exactly the length I like, on the knee. I find midi length looks very ageing on me, and I never wore short skirts because my legs don't justify it  (if yours do, it doesn't matter how old you are - show off those pins, a part of us that rarely ages!).

The wedges are exactly the same shade and also about three years old. I got them from Artigiano. The cropped cashmere cardi is by Marks and Spencer. Why oh why won't they produce more cropped cardis, in more shades? Every season I look, but they only ever seem to have two or three and usually in black or beige.

Do you have a favourite spring or summer outfit that you started wearing a few years ago?

    1. Thanks Patti. In addition to rescuing the skirt, I have a permanent search for it on ebay in case I can unearth a replica!

  6. This is indeed a perfect spring outfit. The skirt length is spot on for me too - mini's need/deserve a slender leg don't you think? I love the floral pattern on this one.

    1. Thanks Anna! Minis do need a slender leg - and also no cellulite! I wear a mini in winter occasionally but only with opaque tights!

  15. Cash Beyond Words

When on a budget (in the event you don't have $ 5K to devote monthly) content promotion is still the cheapest type of marketing you're able to put money into. For example, writing interesting content is a significant portion of social media marketing. When people search for your business, content marketing makes it possible to make sure they find loads of excellent stuff about you.
