Dear friends. Emma has chosen a great topic for this month's Style Not Age challenge: Golden Girls. With New Year's Eve round the corner it's a timely choice.
I won't actually be doing anything on NYE, apart from staying in and watching new arrival on Netflix, Birdsong.
But I love gold and it was a great opportunity to style my 60s gold brocade dress a different way.

Dear friends. Four blogger friends and I am back with the latest Style Not Age challenge. This month it was the turn of Jacqui from Mummabstylish to set the prompt, and she chose Full Skirts.
Regular readers will know I often wear skirts, but I don't have a full skirt. In fact I was a little flummoxed as to what this was. Google tells me it's a skirt with fullness gathered into the waistband which fits through the waistline and flares at the hem.
Dear friends. The clocks have gone back and the weather is finally starting to feel a bit more autumnal. Inspired by the season, Hilda has chosen Autumn Hues as the theme for this month's Style Not Age challenge.

Dear friends. This month four blogger friends and I am getting out our Festival Finery for this month's Style Not Age challenge.
I've actually been to a festival this month and am sharing the outfit I wore.
Dear friends. Dreamy Dresses is Jacqui's prompt for this month's Style Not Age challenge. Five style bloggers from the UK and Ireland interpret a different prompt each month.
Regular readers will know that until recently, I seldom wore dresses. I had around 3. But this year I've satisfied my inner gamine by finding some shorter, retro style dresses.
I wore my Voodoo Vixen nautical dress for an outing to Christie's with Penny from Frugal Fashion Shopper. The auctioneer had put on a splendid pre-auction exhibition of the Vivienne Westwood personal collection, which comes under the hammer this week.
It was a very inspirational exhibition and very well done. As it was a chilly day, I'm wearing my dress with a Kettlewell short tie wrap in soft white. Shoes are from Boden.

#StyleNotAge Challenge
Dear friends. It's my turn to set the challenge this month in Style Not Age, and I chose quite a difficult one: French Girl Style.
It's difficult because I like to wear bright colours, as you know, and French women don't.
Dear friends. April Showers is this month's prompt for the Style Not Age challenge. Chosen by Hilda from Over the Hilda, it's very apt because it's been pouring for the last couple of days (and indeed, most of early April).
Raincoats are a tricky business. They're usually in three colours: stone/ beige, black, navy. I have a stone coloured trench in the traditional style but I wanted something more unique, in a bright colour.
Dear friends. There's a great challenge in today's monthly Style Not Age with me, Anna, Hilda, Jacqui and Emma.
It was Anna's turn and she came up with Jeans and Jewels.
The juxtaposition of denim with jewels is unexpected and creates an outfit which could take us anywhere. I automatically reached for my Georgian crystal necklaces, which I love to layer. I got the idea from Anna Wintour.
Dear friends. Another month has whizzed by, we're now in summer, and it's peak jumpsuit wearing season. This month's Style Not Age Challenge, set by Hilda, is Jumpsuits. Jumpsuits come in several different varieties - full length, cropped, and "romper" style.
Jumpsuits are very good on older women, if you find the right cut. Remember Queen Camilla a couple of weeks ago?
Mine is a navy and white polka dot jumpsuit, a couple of years old, from Phase 8. I've styled it with a couple of pops of red: last year's espadrilles from Sosander and a much loved necklace from Eternal Collection.

Dear friends. When Emma set this month's Style Not Age Challenge - Stripes and Dots - I initially thought it was an easy one. But not so. I've been so ruthless with clearing out my wardrobe that I've given away everything I had with dots and stripes!
